Greg Parks Obituary

Greg Parks Gregory "Greg" James Parks passed away on May 26, 2016, in the arms of his loving wife. Greg was born and raised in San Luis Obispo, and he loved his community second to his family and friends. Graduating San Luis Obispo High Class of 73', Greg pursued a career in business, sales and motivational speaking. He had the ability to make friends wherever he went and he touched the lives of so many. We will remember Greg for his charisma, humor, loving kindness, and his many aphorisms that were shared over the years with his loved ones. Throughout his life, Greg never stopped believing in humanity's ability to accomplish "big things," and he motivated those in whom he saw great potential. His interests were reading up on current events, nature, travel, his hero John Wayne, and the San Francisco 49ers and Giants. Greg is survived by his wife of twenty-six years, Ruth Anne Parks; his daughters: Kimberly Lynn Harrigan, Jennifer Lynn Harrigan (Jimmy Ly) and Nikki Rae Parks; and his aunt and uncle, Angelo and Joan Morabito. There will be a Viewing at Reis Mortuary on June 1, 2016, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. The Funeral will be on June 2nd, 2016, at 11:00am at the Chapel at Reis Mortuary. The family wishes to welcome friends of Greg to celebrate his life at the Elks starting at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Welcome Home Military Heroes and Central Coast Kidney Foundation. Sign his guestbook at sanluisobispo.com/obituaries
