This news breaks my heart. John was a fun kid to be around and to have in class at Intermountain. He was fun loving, mischievous, eager to learn new things, and loved his sports. His laugh was infectious and he loved jokes and pranks, even if they were at his expense. He made so much improvement in the short time we had him around us, this is such a sad loss. My heart goes out to his family.

I met John 1 month ago and he was such a kind hearted person, we played basketball at French park with him a couple days. He talked about how he always wanted to see the world if we could, he was a really good kid and I’m sorry for your loss. All of his friends from the basketball courts miss playing basketball with him.

I knew John from Heritage School. We would always play basketball together and talk about anything and everything. He was one of the funniest kids there, always cracking jokes. He was one of my best friends from the moment I got there to the moment I left. Now seeing that he is gone deeply saddens me. I loved that kid like a brother. Never stop trying buddy I love you man.

I had the privilege of John's assistance in serving the 1st Pres congregation last year and was impressed by his energy and work ethic. I was happy to see that he enjoyed being a server, and felt he wanted to look into it further as a work opportunity later. He was eager to help and strived to perform well. My heart is very sad to hear of this unexpected loss. John and his parents will be on my mind. I will remember him very fondly!

Dear Estes family,
My grandson Noah and I were saddened to hear about your son. Noah was a neighbor, and a student with John in P.E. class at Morro Bay High School. He said that he would have enjoyed video gaming with your son. As you said, may he find the peace and smiles in his new Heavenly Home. Kindest regards,
Barbara and Noah Wright

Dear Estes family,
My grandson Noah and I read about John. We were both so saddened. Noah told me that John was his neighbor at one time and they both were in the same PE class at Morro Bay High School. He said that he would have loved to played some video games with John. Kindest and gentle regards, Barbara and Noah Wright

Peggy, Allen, and Jackie, thank you for sharing this beautiful obituary for John Howard. Each time I met John, he was full of joy and empathy. I thank God for all the love and care you shared with John. Every day I pray for the Holy Spirit to fill you with comfort. John Howard could have had no other family as committed and loving as you three. As you blessed Johns life, may God bless you and keep you and strengthen your love for one another. Grace + peace.
