Kyle Christiansen Obituary

Kyle James Christiansen, 29, of Cayucos, passed away Tuesday, April, 2, 2013. Kyle was born in Fresno, Calif., and graduated in 2001 from Buchanan High School in Clovis, Calif. In 2007, he moved to Cayucos to be near his parents. Kyle was a unique person to say the least. He was full of personality and had a rich love for life and all people. Everyone was his friend and he loved to talk with anyone. He saw the world as one great big place to seek, learn and experience. Sometimes his personality could be a little challenging due to his overt curiousness, but this quirky uniqueness is also what created the humorous and endearing part of him. He was quite the individual in everything he did. What Kyle loved most in life was his wife, Jennifer and daughter, Brooklyn, followed by the rest of his family. He was a loving husband, father, son and brother. He also loved God and had committed his life to Him. We know for certain he is in heaven. Kyle loved to skateboard, Shotokan Karate (where he had obtained a brown belt and was on course for his black belt) and all things geology. He found great excitement in rock formations, rocks, minerals, precious stones and everything related to the earth's surface. He also enjoyed music and playing his trumpet - sometimes he played it from his porch for others to hear. Kyle worked at his family's business, the Cayucos Candy Counter. He will be missed by his family, friends, coworkers and the community. Kyle is survived by his wife, Jennifer Lynn Christiansen; daughter, Brooklyn Macie Christiansen; sister, Bonnie Christiansen; and parents James and Pamela Christiansen of Cayucos A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2013, at Cayucos Community Church, 60 S. 3rd St. in Cayucos, with a graveside service and luncheon to follow. To Jennifer, and all family members. We feel the pain of those close to us. Our most sincere wishes and prayers go out to God on your behalf. It seems that sometimes things happen when it makes absolutely without any good reason, or will of God. It was good to hear your written words that Kyle had given his heart to God. Through this, hang on the belief that this is the great mystery of life. May you find peac, and our condolences go out to you and your families. Steve and Karen.

Jim, Pam and Bonnie,
I will always have the memories of Kyle as a boy. He was always polite and talkative with me and his large smile was unforgetable. Thank you guys so much for all you did for Jorgen and I know Jorgen will cherish the many nights he stayed at your home with Kyle. His friendship ment a lot to Jorgen. I can't imagine your loss and I hope somehow you will be given the strength to carry on with his wonderful memories in your hearts.

I didn'tknow Kyle personally, but I remember his face. He waited on us at the candy store once. Very nice, expressed his interest in geology when discussing my boyfriends livelihood, an ocean oil platform worker. Nice young man. Sympathy expressed. K&K -Morro Bay, CA

My family and I are so sorry to hear of Kyle's passing. Over the past years, we have enjoyed meeting Kyle at the candy store, at church, and around town. He was always so friendly, polite, and interested. His firm handshake, coupled with a warm smile and first-name greeting will always be remembered. My entire family (wife, children, and grandchildren) will miss Kyle on our regular visits to Cayucos. He often commented about his love for his daughter and how he was so excited about marrying his lovely wife. To Jim, Pam, Jennifer, Brooklyn, and to the entire Christiansen family we offer our deepest sympathies. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
