Mary Nagano Obituary

Mary Nagano Mary Nagano passed away peacefully from natural causes at the age of 100 years old on Dec. 20, 2018, seven months to the day after her 100th birthday, surrounded by her loved ones at her home in Morro Bay. She was preceded in death by her husband, William and her two sons, Norman and Dean. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy, son-in-law, Brian, grandchildren, Rocky and Krisi, and several other loving family members. Mary lived in Morro Bay since 1947. She worked with the Nagano family in the artichoke packing house before taking the job as school secretary at Morro Bay Elementary School where she worked until retiring in 1983. She was a faithful supporter of several local symphony's including the SLO Youth Symphony. Besides her love for music, she enjoyed adventures in travel, cooking and eating, gardening and in the most recent years, the #1 fan at Rocky and Krisi's sporting events. Everyone is invited to join us for a Celebration of Life on January 5, 2019,1:00pm at the South Bay Community Center, 2180 Palisades Ave., Los Osos, CA, 93402. A musical tribute and service will start at 1:00 followed by fun, food and entertainment just as Mary would have wanted! In her honor, we will "EAT, DRINK and be MARY!"

Nancy & Family, I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Remember all the good times. What a long and wonderful life she had. She will be missed by many.
