Sean Goodwin

Sean Goodwin Sean Goodwin ended his battle with kidney cancer on July 3, 2015. He was surrounded by his wife Jane, friends and family, secure in the love from all those he touched and held dear. Sean was born in January 1959 in Davis, California, and grew up just outside of Yosemite. He was one of six sons of Mona and Pat Goodwin. He graduated from San Diego State University during which he worked for his grandfather's airline, then began a 32 year career with Wings West Airlines, American Eagle Airlines and American Airlines. He touched many lives, helped shape the airline and was known for his ability to mentor and be a friend to those with whom he worked. He extended his amazing talent with technology to a wide circle of friends Sean enjoyed biking, boating and camping in his RV. He especially loved to spend time barbecuing and watching the sunsets in Shell Beach. Sean was also known as the "Miracle Man" due to his extraordinary battle against all odds after being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in March of 2012. Our utmost gratitude is offered to Dr. Brian DiCarlo and Dr. Gary Foresman who were earthly guides and beacons of light for Sean during his illness. The elite team of surgeons at UCLA were heroic in their efforts in affording Sean an extended stay here on Earth. Many thanks are also expressed to the many close friends and colleagues that have been with Sean throughout his journey.
