Brian Marsh Obituary

Brian Marsh
Apr. 7, 1952- June 29, 2018
Santa Cruz/Groveland, Ca
Resident of Santa Cruz/Groveland, Ca, passed away peacfully in his mountain home due to an ongoing battle with cancer. At time of passing he was surrounded by loved ones. Brian, also lovingly reffered to as "Coach" was born in Pasadena, Ca, to the late Victor Blaze Marsh and the late Patricia Ann O'Laughlin. He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend Nanette Marsh. Three beautiful daughters Vanessa, Sera and Shannon. His grandson Blaze and one grandson on the way. And his remaining brother Dan. Brian spent many years traveling and lived in many places such as: Fremont, Ca, Boulder, Co, Tahoe City, Ca, Santa Cruz, Ca, for many years raising a family and then to his final destination Groveland, Ca. His passion was having a hammer and nails in his hands building gorgeous and unique custom homes as a general contractor. He was an avid outdoorsmen and sportsman. Hiking, biking, kayaking, hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles were some of his favorite activities. Most of all though Brian loved the game of soccer. Coaching and playing were his biggest past times throughout his well lived life. Many can tell you of Brian's 15 plus years of being an intrical part of the Santa Cruz County soccer scene. He coached hundreds of girls from their recreation level teams all the way through their varsity high school careers. Including his three daughters. He provided opportunities of fun, travel, team bonding and character building. Brian loved all of his players and was kind, generous, passionate, and a good friend to each one. Brian had a huge heart and love of life. He will be greatly missed by all that were lucky enough to know him. And honored by the ones he loved. A private celebration of life will be held for Brian on August 18, 2018. For more info please contact Brian's daughters or wife via text or facebook.

Miss you Brian. One of the few true friends I had the privilege of being able to call him my friend. He stood by me when others would not. I will never forget and I will do my best to live by the standards he showed me. I will see you again but not yet. Reilly.
