A Life-long Santa Cruz Resident.
Ivan Villalobos, 26, died from gunshot wounds Sunday evening, April 8, 2018 in Santa Cruz. He is survived by his parents, Martin and Hilda Villalobos and his beloved daughter, Sophia, all of Santa Cruz. He is also survived by his three brothers, Martin, Jr, Andres and Christopher and his sister Ana Villalobos.
Ivan was born in Santa Cruz and graduated from Soquel High School, where he played football. He worked as a manager at Safeway in Felton and also worked for Home Depot in the lumber department. Ivan loved football, cars, going to the gym, and most of all taking Sophia to the park and the beach. Ivan's family remembers him as a very loving son, and devoted father and brother.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held at Oakwood Memorial Chapel, 3301 Paul Sweet Rd, (behind Dominican Hospital) on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 3 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church on Wednesday morning at 11, and friends are invited to a reception at Oakwood Memorial following the mass.

I do not know you but I am sick at yet another murder by guns. I hope your hearts heal or at least recover and that Ivan's family and especially his daughter can find peace and happiness in this short life.

So sorry for your Löss. Ivan was such a handsome young man. His little girl will have memory's and pictures of a father that loved her. So sorry this young man had to leave this world in such a violent way. Rest In Peace Ivan. You will be missed.
