Lily Wallace Obituary

Lily passed away unexpectedly at Dominican Hospital with her daughters Elana & Sasha, husband Bryon, brother Ben, & niece Rebecca at her side. Lily was happily married to Bryon Wallace for 24 years. They had a deep love for the many cats they cared for over the years, & took great joy in renovating their house & taking cruises around the world.Lily's pride & joy were her daughters who she talked about endlessly to anyone who would listen. She would support them in any way possible & texted & talked to them every day.For over 20 years, Lily had an antique shop in Village Faire Antiques in Aptos. For the last 10 years, she spent her time tending to multiple online jewelry shops. She had a passion for all types of antique jewelry including Victorian & costume jewelry, Fenton & Carnival Glass, Sèvres & Limoges Porcelain, Majolica & California pottery (to name a few)!Lily was a prolific reader, favoring science fiction, sometimes reading over five books per week. She also had a great appreciation for the arts & visited museums & monuments worldwide. She was a member of many antique groups online & was well known for her ability to identify a wide variety of antiques & vintage items. Lily is survived by daughters, Elana & Sasha Gainor, both of Santa Cruz; husband Bryon Wallace of Aptos; brother Ben Schulman (Linda) & sister Eve Schulman (Scott) of Aptos, & brother Henry Schulman (Rebecca) of Erin, TN; plus many nieces, nephews, cousins & great friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Marvin & Larisa Shulman, & eldest brother Irving. We remember Lily for her loving & generous nature, interest in politics & current affairs, & her unwavering dedication to her two daughters. No matter the situation, Lily could always be counted on for a listening ear & great advice. She will be deeply missed.

Lily and I went to school together from the time she arrived in San Jose, in the 7th grade. I could remember asking her what her favorite group was. Credence, she replied. We lived on the same street and I could remember chatting with her loving mother. I always loved her eldest brother Irv. Brother Benny was one of the funnest boys in school. Lily always had something to say, somewhere to go, something to be newly interested in. When we graduated from high school, she helped me move to San Francisco. I will never forget her. I wanted so much for our school to have a 50th reunion this year so that I could see her again, but not to be. She was so eternally proud of her daughters and let's face it. They are lovely girls. I know for a fact that Byron was the love of her life, for sure. Much love to any and all of her family. I know what a big loss is for me and I know it must be huge for you all.

Lily has been a friend and a very kind human over the years I've known her to be generous of spirit as well as with support...

I'm dismayed at her loss, and the world will be a darker place without her shining heart to brighten it.

I fully expect Lily to be swarmed with friends from over the Rainbow Bridge.
We miss you, Lily.

I got to know Lily from online antique groups. Later on I did a commission painting portrait for Lily. I poured over pictures of her and her beautiful family & pets while I was painting. So much love joy and beauty in her life. I thought of her as a goddess and painted her that way. I know she will be greatly missed by many. Rest In Peace Lily

Lilly and Bryon's Halloweeween parties were epic! Lilly was a loving mother and always extended her home to her two daughters friends. She was always a joy to be around.
