Jerod Baca Obituary
Jerod Christopher Baca, St. Michael's High School, Class of 2004, passed away Monday, March 7, 2022, at his home.
Jerod is survived by his longtime partner in life, Melody Gonzales Garcia and their three adventure dogs, Bubby Beans, Socks Eugene, and Bella Jean.
Jerod is also survived by his father, Paul M. Baca, younger brother, Brian J. Baca, St. Michael's High School, Class of 2010, and his mother, Michele Martinez.
Jerod shared a special closeness with his grandparents, James & Dolores Baca, and Sam & Mary Jean Martinez. Jerod was blessed to be a part of a large and loving family.
Donning #81, Jerod was very proud of his role on the St. Michael's HS 2003-2004 State Championship Football team. Jerod also represented St. Michael's HS in the annual North-South All-Star football game, accumulating numerous post season awards.
Jerod was a kind, compassionate, loving spirit who enjoyed the serenity of the great outdoors and the companionship of his three wonder dogs. Quick with a hello, Jerod felt strongly about ensuring inclusivity for all.
It is now with heavy hearts that we attempt to move forward as we continue to honor Jerod in a life well lived.
Services for Jerod will be celebrated Monday, March 28, 2022 at Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Community in Santa Fe.

Steven (Barela), our son and Jerod were in school at St. Mike´s and played football and basketball together. Jerod was a good friend of Steven´s. We are saddened by his passing. I am so sorry for the loss of Jerod. He showed me nothing but kindness from the moment I met him in 7th grade until we graduated high school. I only saw him once after and he spoke to me then as well and we only had good memories. Mr. Baca you and your family will be in our prayers
