John Hamner Obituary
June 8, 1937 - March 8, 2023
John "Jack " Dillard Hamner passed away peacefully on March 8, 2023, at his home in Orcutt, California at the age of 85. Jack was born on June 8, 1937, in Lewiston, New York, to Rose Eleanor Montgomery Hamner and Harrison Hamner. He had one older brother, Robert. Jack worked at General Dynamics at Vandenberg Air Force Base for 39+ years, starting out as a floor helper, and ending his career as a Launch Pad Supervisor. During that time he also earned an Associates degree from Allan Hancock College. He was married to Anna Marie Tenebruso Hamner for 53 years before her passing, and had three daughters.
Jack was an Army veteran. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for over 25 years, and a member of the Elks Lodge for 29 years.
Jack is survived by his daughters, Joyce Hamner O'Brien (Michael), Christine Hamner Ziebarth (Jason) and Susan Hamner Freebourn. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Trevor Muzzy (Sophie), Lauren Muzzy, Henry Freebourn, Michaela Freebourn, Thadius Freebourn, Nathan Ziebarth, and his two great-grandchildren, Julian Muzzy and Olivia Muzzy.
A private service at Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary in Santa Maria is planned. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please send donations to Meals on Wheels of Santa Maria Valley: https://mealsonwheelssmv.org/donate/#.

I am sad to know that Jack has passed on. He was my father in law for twenty years. Both he and Anna were wonderful to our kids and to our entire family.
I will think fondly of both him and Anna from time to time.

Jerry and I have lost a true friend. We will miss Anna and JackJ every single day. We have so many memories with those two!

Jack was a wonderful man. He was a true gentleman but fun and interesting. I enjoyed watching movies with him. I am sorry he is gone. He will be missed in our Hummel Village Community. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
