Wallace Tuttle Obituary

Wallace W. "Wally" Tuttle
Wally Tuttle, 89, our beloved Dad, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on December 17, 2012 at home. Funeral services will be Friday, December 21, 2012 at 2 pm in the Chapel of the Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary with Pastor Clete Doyal officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Santa Maria Cemetery.
Wally was born January 17, 1923 in Kerman, Ca. to Laura and Fred Tuttle. Wally met and married Lil and the union endured almost 60 years. Wally resided in Santa Maria most of his life; he was a graduate of Santa Maria High School before entering the Army to serve with General Patton in WWII. Wally was employed by Williams Bros. Markets, Scolari's Markets and Lucky Stores. He retired in 1982.
Wally is survived by his daughters and son-in-laws, Sharon and Lee Baylis of Santa Maria, Patti and David Dougherty of Santa Maria. His son Robert Tuttle of Denver, Colo., 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters Edith Simpson of Santa Maria and Elaine Farrow of Colfax, Ca. Wally was preceded in death by his wife, Lil; his sisters Maxine Allen and Lorraine Rumbaugh and his brothers Robert and Alfred Tuttle.
Viewing hours will be Thursday from 5 to 7 pm, December 20, 2012 at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers friends may make memorial contributions in Wally's memory to a charity of choice.
Our family is a circle of strength and love. With every union and every birth the circle grows. Every joy shared adds more love. Every crisis faced together makes the circle stronger. Today we are stronger, thanks for your love Dad.
