Lloyd B. Pretzsch, 83, of Franklin Grove, IL passed away on April 27, 2023. Lloyd was born on October 23, 1939 in Rochelle, IL to Charles and Zelpha (Gaston) Pretzsch.
Lloyd was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Ashton, IL, where he was very involved. He enjoyed playing guitar and singing and would even do sessions for church services for nursing homes and the Meadows. He loved farming, which he did for many years, and he also loved to fish and even had his own bait company. He also enjoyed camping, traveling and horseback riding. Lloyd also coached Junior Tackle for 4 years for AFC. He loved being with his family and went to all the events he could for his children and grandchildren.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Mary Pretzsch; 9 children, Sarah (Terry) Frields of Kentucky, Corina (Larry Jr.) Noirfalise of Arizona, David Pretzsch of Illinois, LeAnna Smith of Illinois, Susie (Tom) Fehrenbach of Illinois, Tina Strasma of Georgia, Shiela (Scott) Williamson of Georgia, Tim (Trish) Pretzsch of Alabama and Quentin (Mary) Zittle of Illinois; 2 sisters, Maryln Zittle of Missouri and Sharon Fichter of Illinois; As well as 23 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; A daughter, Teresa Pretzsch; A grandson, Nathan Pretzsch; And a brother, Dale Pretzsch.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon, IL, Grace Fellowship Church in Ashton, IL or to the family.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2023 from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at Grace Fellowship Church, 2128 IL-38, Ashton, IL 61006. A visitation will take place next day, May 1, 2023 at the church from 9:00 – 10:00 A.M. with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 A.M. Cremation rites will be accorded.
