R.I.P Martina. She was an inspiration and will truly be missed. America got to know her through her devout support of her brother Troy. She never gave up and for that I will always admire her. She showed strength and character in the face of adversity. She continued to fight when others gave up. She was the epitomy of what it takes to be an African American woman in the USA today.

I had the distinct pleasure of meeting martina a few years ago when I was coordinating a death penalty program for Amensty International USA. While I always detested the death penalty, Martina's passion for the work against it was so compelling and so inspiring I knew it would become part of my life's mission to support the cause. Her dedication to her brother Troy's case could not be ignored. She was purposeful in her words, her actions and her leadership. While I am saddened for her family, I personally witnessed and can testify about how well she lived her life on behalf of others. Truly an inspiring life...a job well done. Bless you Martina. May we continue to follow the trail you blazed.

May the peace of GOD rest with each of the DAVIS-CORREIA family members.
Martina crossed paths with many as she traveled along this way. Our paths crossed years ago at Candler Hospital, later at Bartow, Mercer, and Johnson schools where our sons attended.
She impacted the lives of so many young and old, far and near. Martina would leave you with something that would help to make a difference in your life.
Antone' she precept by example, God aloud her to pour so much into to you. So take it and run with it. Your journey lies ahead stay prayerful, stay focus and press toward the mark of your calling. For with GOD all things are possible and with GOD you can do all things as was proven by your mom.
GOD'S Blessings upon all of you.

To the Davis-Correia Family, may the peace of God guard your heart and minds. I didn't know Ms. Davis-Correia, however, I do know that her living was not invain. As I watched her on television she was fighting, not only for her life, but for her brother's life as well. She was truly a woman of great courage, determination and dedication. She endured hardness as good soldier and now she is ready to receive her reward. Be encouraged and continue to trust God.

My sincere condolences and prayers to the Davis-Correia family. Martina was a wonderful woman and friend with a loving and caring heart. In 2007 she was there for me fighting my battle with breast cancer. Whenever I needed to talk or ask a question she was just a phone call away. I was blessed to have an angel like Martina to enter in my life. Much love to you my friend. No more pain or suffering. Another angel has entered into HEAVEN. RIP!!!
