Mary Shields Obituary

Mrs. Mary F. Shields - SAVANNAH - Mrs. Mary F. Shields, 65, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at home under the excellent care of Hospice Savannah. She was educated in the public schools of Alabama. She later moved to Savannah, Georgia. She joined the Green Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully until her health failed. She leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters, Nora Shields (Herbert), Patricia McPhatter (Ricky), Savannah, GA, and Diane Sewell (James), Abbeville, AL; three sons, Herman Shields (Melissa), Billy Shields (Keshia), both of Savannah, GA, and Robert Shields (Lynn), Winston Salem, NC; one brother, Leonard Daniels (Lucille), Dothan, AL; four sisters-in-law, Mary Thomas, Long Beach, CA, Ola Mae Dukes, Ella Mae Evans, both of Pennington, AL, and Velma James, Butler, AL; one brother-in-law, Henry Shields, Butler, AL; twenty- one grands and thirty one great grands; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Green Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 636 East Waldburg St., with Rev. Curtis L. Curry, Sr., officiating. Reposing at the Church from 9 a.m., until hour of service. Interment: Forest Lawn Cemetery, Savannah, GA. Williams & Williams Funeral Home 1012 E. Family of mrs. Shields, please except my deepest condolesess . This is a time of deep grief and sadness. My heart aches for all of you. Throw all of your burdens on Jehovah and He will sustain all of you at this time.
