When I was growing up,everybody knew Mr. Ransom. Later in life we had many conversations at the Waffle House. I admired his intelligence and his ability to communicate to anybody under any circumstances. He was a down to earth person that knew and understood the average person. I pray for his family. He is surely in Heaven and very happy. Jasper County has surely lost one of its finest citizens.

It is very sad for us to learn of Ransom's death. I have known him since the early 1940's and always found him to be a hard working up-right person, and certainly an asset to Hardeeville and Jasper County. We send our sympathy and condolences to the family during this time of sadness in there life. Ransom will certainly be missed by many.
