Jackie was a great inspiration to my life. She helped guide a struggling young black man to learn the "ropes" of the working world. For that I will always be greatful. Rest in peace Boss!!!

Jackie was a big part of my life for many years and I got to know her, and love her. She cherished her family, especially Jim. I remember when she met him, and ultimately married him, and I think he made her life complete.

March 19, 2010

She was one of the most sophisticated ladies, I’d ever met. She always said encouraging things, like you should travel, see the world. She was a wonderful mother and wife, and I remember how she and my sister Lora talked for hours, because she was a great friend. I talked to her a few months back and she said you have to just trust God. I know she’s with him now, but I still wish she was here.
I am glad she had a good husband and her children to cherish her and be there for her. Jim, Jasmine and Troy (and her sons Kenric and Kory who I don’t know, but know you were well raised), I say a prayer for you all. God be with you, God keep you and live your lives to the fullest, Jackie would want that for you. Do well and know that she loved you all.

Jim and family,

Jackie's homegoing is being met with great anticipation in heaven, because a child of the King has returned home. Here on earth, while we celebrate her life and all of her contributions to it, we realize very quickly that there's a void that will forever remain because she was such a dynamic and vital woman to us all. May God continue to sustain you during this time and know that our prayers will be with you and your family as you grieve. With love and sympathy,

Kimberly Lucas

#16 Troy Cannon and your dear family, the Saenz girls are so sorry for your loss! We loved Jackie and all of the fun we had with her at the team meals. Her lovely spirit will be sorely missed by everyone at Poly Football and in the community!

Here is a quote that we find comforting in times like this:

If ever there is tomorrow when we’re not together.. there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we’re apart.. I’ll always be with you. -- Winnie the Pooh

We love the Cannon Family!!

Remember God is near and will bring you and the family peace, also. We love you all and will never forget our beautiful friend. Henry, Rose, Candy and Rerun Moses

Dear Cannon and Hill Family; We will always have fond memories of meeting Jackie and her family on our trip to China. I will never forget singing gospel songs on the Queen's summer Lake on Sunday morning in China. May Jackie rest in peace and peace be with all of you. Sincerely, Luisa Ross and Mike Stone

Very sorry to learn of your loss, Sparkles and I are very saddened by Jackie's passing. Always a good spirit, helpful and honest. I remember getting a call at the County Bldg because of a mental patient. She assisted us with the guy who was a "client" and the matter was resolved without anyone being injured...him or me. God Bless her and family.

Jim,

I am deeply saddened to hear Jackie passed away. I like Jackie and thought the two of you made a great pair. I was always happy you found each other. My words seem desperately lacking right now. I'm deeply sorry kind sir. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Aside from sending my heartfelt sympathies I wish there was more I could do to ease your pain.

Your Friend,

Mr. Hill and Jimmie (my buddy) my heart goes out to you and with much sorrow. I have such found, sweet and silly memories of Jackie, Jimmie and I. I remember when I was a new student in cosmetology and experimented on Jackie's hair. A frost job that turned out a hot brassy gold mess. We had so many laughing moments that literally brought tears to our eyes. Farewell my friend as I continue to conger up the many moments we shared. My love to all the hill family and may God comfort you in your time of sorrow.
