Robert Grant Fisher (Bob), 80, of San Bernardino, CA passed away on January 20th, 2017 at home with his loving family by his side. He was a proud, lifelong resident of San Bernardino. Bob was born August 17, 1936 in his family home on H Street in San Bernardino. He attended local schools and San Bernardino Valley College. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Kathleen Fisher; his daughter Sheryl Ray and husband Tim, sons Robert & David Fisher and wife Cynthia, his daughter Cheryl and husband Don; step- daughter DeAnna and husband Woody, stepsons Gary and wife Kim, and Donald. Bob leaves behind his grandsons Garry and wife Amanda, David, Chance and Tanner Ray; granddaughters Ashley, Lauren, Heather, Lori and Olivia; great-grandchildren Kylee, Mackenzie, Bronson, Amy, April, and Lumina. He was preceded in death by his parents Ulysses Grant and Ethel Jane Fisher, his brother Oscar, sister in-law Pauline, nephew David, sister Clare Margaret and wife Jeanne. Bob served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Korean War. He was stationed in Kansas where he met his future wife Mary, mother of Sheryl. Bob retired as a Captain from the San Bernardino County Marshal's Office after 30 years of service. He was blessed to have enjoyed retirement for 23 years. In those years, he built a koi pond, fished in Bridgeport, hunted, tried his luck at San Manuel Casino, and enjoyed the company of his good friends. Bob was a former member of the Over the Hill Gang and avid car enthusiast.
Bob's Celebration of Life will be held Friday, February 3 at 2:00 p.m. at the Event Center at San Manuel Village located at 27923 Highland Avenue, Highland CA (corner of Highland and Boulder Avenues).
