Carl Wagner Obituary

Carl F. Wagner, 87, of Cressona, passed away Saturday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Carl was born in Schuylkill Haven, March 8, 1930, a son of the late John and Laura Frey Wagner.

He was the husband of Wilma Butts Wagner, to whom he was married for 61 years.

He was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven, Cressona Lodge F&AM 222 past master, Pottsville Lodge, Reading Consistory, Cressona Historical Society, Rajah Shrine, PSU Alumni Association, Schuylkill Lebanon No. 50 Tall Cedars Club and High 12 Club.

He served in the Army.

Carl was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School, Class of 1948, and a Penn State University graduate, Class of 1952. He was formerly employed by Deutsch's Trust, New York City, Acme and Jetson, in the Operations Department.

Carl was preceded in death by his siblings, Lyle, Blanche Loy, Levi, June Dando and James.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven, with the Rev. Robert Riley officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be held prior from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. in the chapel. The family requests donations to St. Ambrose Church Memorial Fund, 201 Randel St., Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972. Interment at Cressona Cemetery, Cressona.
