Sam Smith became my friend and British Car mentor several years ago when I began rebuilding an old British truck. He gave me his time, expertise, and most importantly his friendship. Sam never got impatient with my questions and lack of car knowledge. No problem phased him. I was always amazed by how calm he was and by his unique ability to multitask.

I just heard of his passing and I am still in a bit of shock.

Sam was my friend. He gave me more than I gave back. I feel a significant irreplaceable loss. My family sends our deepest condolences to Sam and Rachel’s family. I am so sorry.

Feeling sad. In life we all form impressions. My first memory of Sam is in first grade. I felt great affection. He is remembered that way through the many years as a classmate. His smile was genuine. I send his family my deepest sympathy.
