Adrian Parker Call was a dear friend ever since we were freshmen at BYU in 1970. I'll never forget the many hours I was privileged to spend visiting with him and Marti while I cooked dinners for his apartment. I remember the time when he went home to Pocatello and rode his motorcycle back to Provo during a rain and hailstorm---he had to stop a few times on the way and was so cold and wet when he got back to school. I had prayed so hard that he would be safe and well. Adrian and Marti visited me after Parker was born and we kept in touch with Christmas messages for many years. I always felt that Adrian was a kindred spirit---he connected with people, he understood their heart. His devotion to his family, his medical practice, and his faith in God was beyond amazing. Adrian and Marti, your friendship has helped me many times over during my life. Thank you for letting me lean upon your strength, even though you didn't know it. When my husband and I went to Seattle to see my brother after his bone marrow transplant, Adrian had invited us to join your family while you went out to celebrate a child's birthday. We didn't get to see you then, but I felt a quiet strength sent through the phone line that comforted me. That visit with my brother was the last one we had before he passed away. Dr. Call delivered two of my babies and assisted in the third one. You could see the light of Christ in his eyes. I have a photo of him in the operating room holding my third baby and I will never forget his eyes. He treated me like family. He treated everyone like family. I was just thinking about him and wondering if he was still practicing and saw that he had passed. It does not surprise me, he was amazing and I am sure much needed on the other side. He did amazing work here and left a mark on my life for sure. I am so sorry for your loss. Much Love! Angie Lords

So sorry to find out about Adrian's passing recently! My sincere condolences to Marti and her family. Marti is an old friend who lived with us for awhile when she was a child. Her Christmas card was returned last year so if you know how I can contact her please let me know at [email protected].

I will forever remember Dr. Call. He delivered two of my three sons in 1981 & 1984. He was the best family doctor anyone could asked for. Even after he moved practice further North I still continued to drive across town to continue my family care with him. It wasn't until my second son decided to go to Vet school that I needed to contact the office for his shot records. It is now that I read of his untimely passing and my prayers go out to his family. May god bless you and know that he was an extreme gift to many who knew him.

I was out of Country for six months and two days ago I found my doctor and my friend was gone.
Dr. Call was my physician for sixteen years he do my first exam for free / I did not had insurance / and he was nothing less than awesome. His care and knowledge were wonderful, but it was the sitting around talking about long-distance running during my appointments that I cherished. My condolences to Dr. Call's family and colleagues. He will truly be missed because he was truly remarkable.

Dr. Adrian Call was my Primary doctor for close to two decades. Due to the multiple conditions I have, he always spent quality time with me, guiding me on recommendations for an optimal quality of life. I was very saddened and shocked on Dr. Call's passing. He left a lasting legacy on all of his friends, and the patients that he encouraged.
I wish his family my condolences on their loss. He will be incredibly missed, but comforted knowing that he is at peace.

I was a patient of Dr. Call for 25+ years. He was very kind, and helped me through a couple of tough spots in my health history. His priority was the welfare of the patient. On a couple of occasions he steered me away from treatment options which were widely publicized but useless to me. I trusted him completely. He was wise and kind an natural healer.
In addition to the trail bench, is there another memorial fund or a charity I might give to in his memory?

I feel very sad Dr. Call will no longer be my doctor. We worked well together as patient and physician for 23 years. He listened to me and allowed me to direct a lot of my care. He was gentle and kind and compassionate. I told him not to even think of dying before me... but he didn't listen to me! He was a good man. I will miss his sweet gentle manner.

I am both stunned and greatly saddened to learn of Adrian's passing. He was my primary care doc for the last 15 years, and was one of a group of docs that has kept me alive and reasonably well, despite my advancing age and associated health issues. He had a great sense of humor, which is part of what made him such a highly interactive physician. He listened carefully to what I had to say, and imparted both valuable specific advice for my various maladies and general wisdom accrued from his years of experience both in and outside of medicine. I felt like we were a team of mechanics trying to wring a few more years and miles out of my increasingly decrepit body. For these things I have always been and remain grateful.
My heart goes out to his family. All of us who knew him have lost a truly fine man and physician.

I am shocked and heart broken. I just found out. I worked with him for 3 years as his office nurse and he delivered both my children. I loved him dearly and I wish I had know, I would have come to his memorial. My condolences to his family. He was such a loving man and I know he will be missed.

I have been a patient of Dr. Calls for nearly 30 years. He was one of the nicest human beings I have ever known. He was very caring, always pleasant and cheerful and an excellent doctor. I will miss our visit and sharing about our families. My only complaint was he was always late. Only because he carried so much about his patients her would never cut us off. My condolences to his wife and his children. He will be remembered and missed for a very long time.

I am deeply saddened to here of Dr. Call's passing. He was our family's physician for many, many years; a sweet, caring, gentle man. He always greeted us with a smile and asked about our latest adventures, as well as bringing us up to date on his kiddos latest accomplishments, or marathon.

Dr. Call has been my physician for nearly 20 years. He had a big part in saving my life from a serious illness 12 years ago. I am so very sorry to learn of his sudden passing. He used to say, "Don't worry, Cindy, I'll be around to take care of you if you're sick." Now what? All my best to his family, of whom he often spoke.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Dr Call once as my new doctor, but I could tell from our first meeting what an amazing doctor he was. He took the time to listen! The world lost and heaven gained a beautiful soul on June 20th. He will be missed exponentially! My deepest condolences to Adrian's family

I was shocked to learned about the passing of Dr. Call. He was my doctor for over 30 years. He was also my inspiration for running half marathons and staying in shape. We've shared a lot of running stories during my visits. Dr. call was also an excellent seamster as he stitched me up really well after a minor surgery a month ago. He was the nicest doctor and person that I've ever met. He will be deeply missed.

Chuck, Julia, Katie and Becca all are at a loss for Dr. Call's passing. We have been seeing him since the Lake City office days and he was there to deliver both our daughters (many pictures of them on his baby and kids boards). Dr. Call was kind and caring, ready to listen and there to help in all sorts of medical issues throughout the years. He will be missed!

Adrian will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He and I were in the same medical school class at the UW, and in the same Family Medicine Residency program at the UW thereafter. After residency, he invited me to work with him in his practice in Lake City, which I did (and enjoyed) for several years. I appreciated how down-to-earth he was, calm in all circumstances, always generous and caring. And, of course, always witty and optimistic. I am very sorry about his leaving us so soon.

It sounds contradictory but I always looked forward to seeing Dr. Call. He was sincerely pleasant and at the same time very direct in exactly what I needed to do, or stop doing, as the case may be. I will miss him very much, not simply for his abilities as a physician. But even more so as a pleasant and inviting face in what tends to be a very unpleasant or uncomfortable situation. How sorry I was to learn of the passing of Adrian Call, MD. Adrian was one of my best teachers as an upper classman in medical school and residency - later to become the beloved personal physician for me and my son. Adrian knew his medicine - but I will never forget the personal connection and humor he shared with me and the rest of us so fortunate to know him. He brought such light - even to situations that were otherwise quite dire, and always with such enormous kindness! Blessings to his family - the joy of his life.

Tom and I are so sorry for your loss. We practically grew up with DR CALL. We started seeing him when we were in our 30s and are now in our 70s. Our entire family including children and grandchildren were his patients. We will all miss him.
