I just found out yesterday that Bob passed away. I have been trying to contact him for over a year. My heart is very heavy today as I am so sad to hear this news. Bob and I have been friends since we met in 1984 when I came to Seattle. He was a very funny, sweet and intelligent individual. My mother and Grandmother absolutely adored him...thought he hung the moon! Being southern ladies, he adored them, too. They told everyone he was 6 ft 8 in of nothing but gentleman. It was the truth.
My mother, Edna, died in 2007. Bob was the first person I called. He comforted me and we cried together.
I moved away from Seattle in 1992, but Bob and I kept in touch and we made sure to call each other every couple of months at first but it became an every 6 month thing. We were diligent about calling one another though. He called me just before he died. I guess I lost track of time...got too busy with job....life got in the way...I did try to call him several times over the past year but never got a call back. I had that gut feeling though.
I will miss him but I know that he is somewhere on the other side telling tall tales with our old friend Kayo Mullins, the Oregon bear killer and my mom. My deepest condolences to Jack, Shirley, Jim, his wife and the girls.
Sincerely,
Terri Brannon
