Cheryl Christy Obituary

Cheryl Barker CHRISTY Cheryl Christy was born November 28, 1940, in Kalamazoo, Michigan and passed away in Seattle following a courageous twenty year fight against cancer. Her courage has been an inspiration to everyone with whom she has come in contact. Her wit and her energy sustained her throughout her life. Cheryl has always been active in the Queen Anne community when not sashaying all over the world during her 39 years as a flight attendant for United Airlines. Cheryl's daughter, Lt. J. G. Allison Christy, U.S.N., was able to return from her deployment to be with her mother. Cheryl's parents, William C. and Anna J. Barker, and her twin brother, William C. Barker Jr., predeceased her. Her siblings, Brenda Parker, James Barker, Robert Barker and Jean Oatman and her daughter Allison, her nieces and nephews survive her. She will be sorely missed. Memorial Service is at 11:30 a.m. on July 2nd, 2003 at Queen Anne Lutheran Church - 2400 8th Ave. W., Seattle 98119. Please no flowers. Remembrances to Seattle Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center are welcome.
