I am so sad to hear this news. Jared and I had the same father, David Beadle, although I never met him nor had any contact with him.
Jared, as far as I know, was born in New York City. His mother's maiden name was Jane McCandless. His name at birth was George Press Beadle. He was named after our grandfather, George Wells Beadle, who won a Nobel Prize in 1958 in Medicine and Physiology and was later President of the University of Chicago.
At some point, after Jared's mother and our father broke up, she married a man named Norton, who adopted him and his brother, Ian Christopher Beadle. At some point, George changed his first name to Jared. Ian may have changed his first name also.
I have not been able to find any trace of Ian Christopher Norton, Jane McCandless Norton, or Jared's step-father. If anyone has any information about any of them, or any more details about Jared's life, please contact me at 414-943-0287.

Jared was a dear friend of mine, He and I worked on yachts together for the past year and a half leading up to his passing. We had amazing talks together on the boats for two summers..(and winter) I miss him all the time. I sometimes wonder if he left a letter or something behind for me to remember him by. I am SO glad I found this picture of him. Thank you. I left a voice mail with my number to call Christa. God Bless you Jared.

If anyone finds this and is related to Jared, I would love you to contact me. Crista Goddard 206-200-8149. I was a friend of Jared's for about 16 yrs and my boyfriend, Colin and many others around here knew him about 30 yrs. I have been in touch with his ex-wife Mary and she let us know his real name was George. We are trying to find any next of kin, especially his brother, sister or cousins or his aunt and uncle. Or if you knew Jared and might be able to give us info on his earlier years or a place of birth or anything. Thank you so much. We had a beautiful memorial for him the 28th.
