Keith Chapman Obituary

Keith CHAPMAN Beloved father and friend, passed away Monday, June 20th at home. He was born on April 15, 1928 to Merrie and Aarlon (Mike) Chapman in Seattle. He grew up in Ballard and graduated from Ballard High School in 1946. He served in the Army from 1946-1948 and was stationed in Juneau, AK. He graduated in 1953 from the University of Washington and worked as a salesman for National Cash Register from 1953-1968. In 1954 he married Margaret Nichols and they settled in Bellevue until 1956 when they moved to Kirkland. In 1959 they moved to Bainbridge Island. He worked in administration in Boeing from 1968-1969. In 1969 he became president of Sonitrol NW and served in that capacity until 1978. He married Darlene Kjensmo in 1978 and was co-owner and General manager of Lynnwood Honda from 1978-81. An avid reader, Keith also loved golf, sailing, birdwatching, history and poetry. He is survived by his 3 daughters, Mollie (Michael) Grove, Tina (Rich) O'Neill, and Jennifer Unruh; 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and his companion and best friend, Janet Hampton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Merrie Chapman and his sister, Alice Baldwin. Services will be held Friday at Sequim Valley Funeral Chapel at 2:00 p.m.

We were so sorry to hear of Uncle Keith passing. It has been so long since we've seen him. The kids are all grown up. Our sympathy goes to our three cousins-Molly, Tina and Jennifer.
