Thinking of you on this day. I still have fond memories of your classes and all the knowledge that you taught while at Nathan Hale and summers at Upward Bound at UW. While it was an uphill battle for me at times and challenging due to my learning limitations at the time (ADHD, Dyslexia), which made things slow for me, regardless I valued what you taught and, when I finally was able to understand, it opened many possibilities, views, and ways of thinking and imagining I never thought nor thought I was able to do. I will forever be grateful to you for this and wish I could have thanked you.
You will always be remembered.

Been thinking back to my high school years lately, and when I think of my teachers, I remember you fondly and the tools that you empowered me with (which I was unaware of at the time) and am forever grateful to you for these and thank you eternally for. I remember you today and always.

Phoebe, I don't think you will remember me. I met Pam in the writing program at BU in 1976. There were four women in the program, which meant the four of us became close and were very supportive of each other as writers. As happens far too often, we drifted apart over the years. Tonight, I awoke suddenly, thinking about Pam. I had searched for her a few times online over the years but couldn't find anything. . . when I searched this morning, I found her, rather her obituary. I am sorry for time lost. Peace and comfort to you. Your mother was a talented writer and a wonderful person.

I still use the tools that you taught me about symbolism and metaphors in stories when I watch films, tv, read books. You gave me what was like an xray vision and challenged me to be a better writer. I will always remember you and the discussions in your classes. Be free now as you are no longer limited to the Earth and one with the universe.
