I worked, played and socialized with Billy for many years. We played flag football together. He was an excellent athlete (believe it or not).
He told me that while playing football for Columbia Basin his team went to and may have won (I don't remember) the Tangerine Bowl, which was at the time the small college Rose Bowl. Quite a feat! He also pitched on our slow-pitch softball team where he developed a knuckleball.
Going to miss you Billy!

Bill--I have vivid memories of how you charmed our daughter when she was in the NICU in Seattle--and during subsequent visits. Perhaps you are charming her even now.--Ruthe Rugh, Cairn's Mama
