William Yoshida Obituary

William Jeffery Yoshida

William Jeffery Yoshida, age 61, was born on February 6, 1955 in Chicago, IL to Elmer and Mary Yoshida. In 1957 the family moved to Bainbridge Island. Bill graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1973 and later graduated from the University of Washington.

Bill was an avid Husky and Seahawk football fan and could often be seen wearing their apparel. He was looking forward to the remainder of the season. Bill enjoyed working outdoors in the yard rain or shine.

Bill was a positive, upbeat, inquisitive person and possessed the gift of gab. These traits served him well in his employment with NetReflector a marketing research firm.

In the later years of his life Bill fought his way back from a benign brain tumor. Most recently he had to take precautions to avoid the development of blood clots. Bill passed away suddenly at home on Bainbridge Island from a fatal heart attack on November 4, 2016.

Bill is survived by his mother Mary of Bainbridge Island and brother Gary of Seattle. He was preceded in death by his father Elmer. Private services were held.

In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to PAWS of Bainbridge Island, PO Box 10811, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110.

Dear Yoshida family, like yourselves, I was shocked and saddened to hear of Bill's passing. He was a dear friend to us. I will always remember his kindness, generosity, life adventures, and love of football.
We feel blessed to have known him and to have called him a friend. Thank you for sharing your son and brother with us. The world was a brighter place because of him. Please know of our continued prayers for comfort at this time.

To the Yoshida family, please accept my dearest condolences for the loss of your son and brother Bill. I just found out he had passed and am heartbroken. Yosh and I have had many talks over the last couple of years about his medical condition and he knew until the end that my wife and I have been praying for him since his initial diagnosis.

I've know Bill for about eleven years when we worked together at Informa. We hit it off immediately and shared some of the same passions like sports, yard work and food (especially BBQ).

He will be missed most by those closest to him. Please note that I had left several voice mails for him (AC 678) not knowing the circumstances. Please feel free to give me a call if I can be of further assistance.

To the Yoshida family, I was devastated to just learn of the passing of Bill. Having known him for the last eleven years, Bill and I hit it off when we first met while at Informa and shared in many of the same likes and passions like food (especially BBQ!), yard work and sports. I know he was an avid fan of the Seahawks and Huskies and kept trying to get me to come to Seattle and go to a game with him! He will be missed by many, especially those closest to him. Please note I left several voice mails for him not knowing the circumstances. Your family is in my prayers.
