Johnie William Marlin
WARRENSBURG — Johnie William (J.W.) Marlin age 87 passed away on Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg, Missouri.
He was born on October 21, 1927 in Beaman, Missouri son of T.E. (Tink) and Daisy Williams Marlin. He was married on August 6, 1950 in Sedalia to Zula M. Dilthey and she preceded him in death on April 29, 2013.
J.W. graduated from Hughesville High School. He served in the Merchant Marines in WWll and then during the Korean Conflict he served in the Army. He was a farmer most all of his life. He served on the Board OF Directors of Farmers Mutual Insurance Company. He was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church in Nelson. J.W. was an avid fisherman and was a Charter Member of the Coon Hunters.
He is survived by two daughters; Brenda Blevins of Warrensburg, Missouri and Janice Huffman of Vienna, Virginia, one sister; Gertrude Morris of Cole Camp, Missouri, four grandchildren; Johnathan Blevins, Christina Blevins, Brittany Huffman and Nicole Huffman.
He was preceded in death by three sisters; Stella Marie Marlin, Laverne Boone and Lorene Michael.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Basye officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Sorry for the loss of you Dad. I remember he and your Mom when I was young. We are never really ready for them to leave I know I've been in your place. Both of my parents are gone also. God Bless both of you.
