Ryan Hood Obituary

Ryan Hood, 31, died Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, in Shelbyville. He was a native of Bradenton, Florida and a United States Navy veteran airman. He was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church. He was very active in sports throughout his life including playing and coaching for the U.S.S. John C. Stennis aircraft carrier on tour through Malaysia. Ryan is survived by his parents, Norman and Cheryl Hood of Shelbyville; brothers, Thomas Hood and Troy Hood (Heather), both of Shelbyville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Shannon Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery.
