Albert Yun Hua Sung

Albert Yun Hua Sung Born August 5, 1925 in Tianjin, China and passed away peacefully on October 5, 2006. A graduate of the University of Colorado, he was an engineer until 1957 when he went to Hong Kong and pursued his dream of owning his own business by establishing an import/export business. After his retirement in 1992, he remained active in the community by volunteering as an Auxiliary member at El Camino Hospital. He was the third of nine children and son of a well-known Chinese industrialist, Harry Sung (Song Fei Qing), founder of the Oriental Corporation (Dong Ya Di Yang Pai mao xian) a manufacturing company that had three plants, one making yarns bearing the famous brand name of Di Yang and the other two jute and chemicals. Albert is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Margaret; son, Harvard and daughter, Teresa; grandchildren, Lauren, Matthew and Joshua; five siblings, Rachel, Rhoda, Allen, Roberta and Rebecca. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2006, 11:00 a.m. at Spangler Mortuary in Los Altos.
