Alice Hogben Obituary
Alice L. Hogben passed away on December 8, 2024, at the age of 95. Born and raised in San Francisco's Excelsior district, she met her husband Jack while working at the Bank of California downtown. They married in 1951 and settled in Belmont in 1957. A devoted homemaker and a loving mother, Alice enjoyed many hobbies-sewing, baking, gardening, stained glass, and more. She was a lifelong Lutheran, attending Hope Lutheran Church in San Mateo. Alice cherished longtime friends from childhood, meeting them annually into her 80s. As an animal lover, she adored the companionship of her dogs over the years. She is survived by her sons Andy and Scott who will miss her dearly. In her memory, donations can be made to The Peninsula Humane Society or The American Brittany Rescue.
