To the Geracimos family,
My son Matt Elder was friends with Tony when they were younger. Sadly Matt passed away September 6, 2007 at age 23. I want to tell you I feel your pain and know what you are going through. I will keep you and your family in my prayers and ask for strength for you to make it through each day. Tony and Matt are probably hanging out together watching over all of us. Take care of yourselves.

I am so sorry for the lost of your dear loved one. It's comforting
to know that God cares for all of us and losing a loved
one is something we cannot get use to. The Bible gives us hope
that one day we can see our dear loved one again. On behalf of all mankind Jesus surrender his soul for many. John 15:13 says “No one has love greater than this, that someone should surrender his soul on behalf of his friends.” Truly I am sorry to hear of the loss of your dear loved one and I hope these few words will bring you comfort and hope.

Tony,
I have so many memories from the many years I have known you...I'm so sorry that we lost touch, but I want you to know that you were a big part of my life growing up. I am overwhelmed with sadness, disappointment, and regret. I hope that you are in a good place.
P.S. I will always remember how you made your beloved Vikings lose when you did the Falcon's "dirty bird dance" and jinxed them.

Tony, i still cannot believe your gone. I want you to know that not a day goes by that i don't think about you. I know your happy now, looking down on each and every one of us that care about you and love you so much. I sit here and think about when you first got stationed in VA the many times you tried to teach me how to do the "thizzle dance" or watching football and you had to hang your raiders jersey on the tv. You were definately a jokester and i miss you. This is such a hard time. To Tonys family god bless you and never forget tony will always be watching over us.

Tony,
It has been so long since we last saw each other in VA but there are things about you I will NEVER forget and memories I will always cherish. From the first night I met you and your crazy shipmates where you tried to teach me to dance (with no luck) to our deep one on one talks about life and change. I know in my heart and with every ounce of my faith that you are up there with God, safe and happy watching over us. I know that you are loved unconditionally by so many still here. And most important, I know that we will ALL see you again. I will never forget our summers, and you coming to Blacksburg to visit. You are and always will be a beautiful soul.
To Tony's family and friends- my thanks for making such a wonderful man, and sharing him with all of us in Virginia. He loved you so very much and never hesitated to talk such wonderful things. You have alot of people on the East Coast praying for you and for yours.

Dear Family and Friends of Tony,
On behalf of the John Muir School community, I offer our sincerest condolences on the passing of Tony. Tony was in my very first kindergarten class, and his grandfather frequently brought him to and from school. Melissa was often along for the ride, and she was eventually in our kindergarten as well. Tony’s grandfather was personal friends with Herb Caen. Imagine my delight to read about Tony and his letter of the week homework in Herb Caen’s column. In the spring, Tony’s Show and Tell assignment was, “What I Want to Be When I Grow Up.” Tony brought Ninja Turtle handcuffs to illustrate his desire to become a policeman. After he cuffed us together, he tried the key, but it broke in the lock. Thank goodness the custodian was able to free us. Tony was a lovely young man who will be greatly missed.

Steve and Colleen, I attended the incredible farewell to Tony this weekend but could not approach you because I did not know what I could possibly say. My son Jason Neo really cared about Tony and took his departure very hard. As I put him back on a train to Fresno Monday morning he commented to me how blown away he was by the two of you and the way you helped all of Tony's friends get closure and begin to accept going on in a world without their dear pal. I salute you and I thank you for the strength and thoughtfulness in the way you pulled everyone together Friday, Saturday and Sunday and I wish you continued strength and eventual peace.
