Bernard Feldman Obituary

Dr. Bernard Feldman

1928 - 2018

Beloved San Francisco optometrist, father, husband, friend, skier, fisherman, and tinkerer. He was a graduate of the Berkeley School of Optometry who looked into the eyes of his patients for over 50 years. He was the husband of Ellen; father of, Randall, Michael, Daniel, Adam, and Marshall; uncle of two nieces and three nephews; and grandfather of eight grandchildren.

He was a humble and dedicated friend and joy to all those lucky enough to interact with him over the course of his 90 years here in the bay area. He will always be remembered for his generosity, honesty, and respect for all people and the world in which we live.

Please accept my late condolences to my maternal second cousin, Bernard Feldman’s wife Ellen and children.
I have such fond childhood memories of our family celebrations and get-togethers in San Francisco. Bernard was always kind, thoughtful, and a great intellect. He exemplified a life well lived filled with compassion and care for others.
With love,
Valerie Taylor-Crow

My Favorite Uncle - so many memories of family gatherings, of Christmas Tree decorating, of feasts, of talks and visits. My Dad has been waiting for you, Bernie- you were his fly fishing buddy and best friend. You are sorely missed. Much Love
