Brian Mitchell Obituary
08/09/1977 - 04/03/2025
Dr. Brian Thomas Mitchell, 47, passed away from natural causes on April 3, 2025. Born in Sacramento, he grew up between South Lake Tahoe and the Bay Area.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Patrick "Pat" Mitchell. He is survived by his wife, Christina Bogatsky Mitchell; their two children, Kira and Benjamin; mother, Debra Shaw; brother, Aaron Mitchell; grandmother, Virginia Shaw; half-sister, Courtney Shaw; and many relatives and friends.
A UC Berkeley graduate, Dr. Mitchell was a highly respected physician known for his skill, intellect, humility, and compassion. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son and brother, loyal friend, and a man whose heart was as great as his mind. Family and close friends celebrated his life on August 9, 2025, the day he would have turned 48 and one day after his and Christina's sixth wedding anniversary.

I remember Dr. Mitchell. He treated my right knee with stem cells, and my knee has stopped hurting. I looked him up to request that he be my primary care physician, and now just found out he has gone to eternal life. Send my prayers for him and respect to his family.
