Dana Neumann Obituary
November 6, 1963 - July 9, 2014
Dana Neumann passed away July 9, 2014 of adrenal cancer at the age of 50.Dana was born November 6, 1963 to Herman and Doris Ohlenbusch in Kingsville, Texas. Dana was an alumni of HM King High School Class of 1982 where she was on the diving team and a member of the Brahma Band. She graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Business Administration and was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Dana worked for First City Bank in El Paso for two years and had a twenty-five year career at Wells Fargo starting in San Diego and then in San Francisco. It was at Wells Fargo that Dana met her husband Dave. They married in 1991 and began their family in 1995.
Dana's life reflected her passionate devotion to family and friends, travel, yoga, jewelry-making, animals and guitar. Her travels and interests resulted in a wide circle of life-long friends. Her home in Oakland served as the gathering spot for many celebrations and special occasions.
Dana is survived by her husband of twenty-two years, Dave, her two children Travis and Torey, her parents Herman and Doris Ohlenbusch and her sister and brother-in-law Carol and Mike Chappell.
A memorial service will be held at Piedmont Community Church, 400 Highland Street, Piedmont, CA 94611, Sunday afternoon, August 3rd, at 2 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the American Cancer Society.

I knew Dana from Kingsville! Go Brahmas! My prayers go out to Dana's husband, children, parents, and other family and friends. Time does make the ache a bit easier. She was a beautiful girl with a beautiful smile!

This photo of Dana captures her incredible presence, light, and radiance. I had the blessing of meeting her at a yoga class at the Oakland hills tennis club. She exuded love, humor, hope, and an undying love for her family.

I met Dana a few years ago because our kids went to the same school. She later joined the hip hop class that I teach. She was always fun and spirited. We dedicated a dance to the song "Happy" in her honor the other night. She will be missed!

I am sorry to hear of Dana's passing.
I remember her great personality and nice smile. She talked about how she baked a whole garlic, etc..sharing her experience in the lunch room in WLS at Wells Fargo. In her memory, a donation was made to American Cancer Society.

I just got to know Dana a few years ago, we met through mutual friends. She had a fun personality and a positive attitude. I will always have fond memories of her. My thoughts and prayers are with Dave and her family. May God bless and take care of them until they all can be together again.

I'm going to miss Dana a lot. We will manage...but her joy of life, laughter and sly smile leave a hole. It was a long battle but she always stayed in the now. She was present in her life; wanting to get all she could out of every moment. What can we do now to have fun? Where can we go and get a great new experience? With the time she had she couldn't have fit any more life into it. She will be missed.

I too went to HM King High with Dana. She was a good friend. I had a few classes with her and laughed so much in class. She was a true friend. She didn't judge anyone....loving, caring, special, Dana you will be missed dearly. Hate to see you go, but no more suffering either. Prayers to her husband, children, friends and family. Dana was a light...and everyday will be a little darker knowing that she is no longer with us. We shared many wonderful memories as teenagers and I am grateful that we got to meet each other's husbands and children. Every time I hear "Dream On" by Aerosmith I think of her because we played that record over and over on many nights. She was loved by many both near and far.
May God bring comfort and strength to her family and all those who's life she touched.

I am so so sad t hear of Dana's passing. What a wonderful business partner and friend she had become to me. We worked very closely together, growing and learnign aside each other. She graciously took time out of her life while I was in San Fransisco to show me around, it was just the kind of person she was. Always giving of herself. My heart breaks for her family. Dana, you will be greatly missed!
