David Peugh Obituary

David Evans Peugh Passed away peacefully at Arrowhead, his beloved home at Clear Lake, on February 1, 2012, pre-deceased by his lifelong love Jeanne, and their daughter Nancy. Dave was born December 4, 1926 in Oakland to Wilbur David and Lella Margaret Peugh, and grew up in San Francisco. Following high school and an enlistment in the Navy, Dave attended Stanford University and UC Berkeley, where he graduated in 1951 in Architecture. While at Cal, Dave married Jeanne deFremery, his childhood sweetheart from Clear Lake in 1950. Following graduation, Dave went to work for Swinerton and Walberg, where he worked for 30 years until his retirement, and he and Jeanne established their family home in San Rafael. Arrowhead, Dave and Jeanne's dream house at Clear Lake was completed in 1964. Dave and Jeanne retired to their beloved Arrowhead in 1982, but continued their love for travel and their support of the Golden Bears actively during retirement. Dave is survived by his children Linda Ruble, Leslie Harris (John), David J Peugh (Mimi), Dana Guidi (Jeff), and Evan E Peugh (Pam). Dave is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. We are forever grateful for the compassionate care provided by Leonardo (JR) Oben and the Visiting Nurses and Hospice Nurses of Lake County, for both Beannie and Dave. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation in Dave's name to the Hospice Care of Lake County, or a charity of your choice. At Dave's request, there will be no services, but a Celebration of Life is planned for July 1, 2012 at the Faculty Club at UC Berkeley, from 1-4PM. Please bring with you your fondest memories and recollections of Dave, which we intend to share.

I am very sorry to hear of the lost of your dear loved one. Psalms 66:19 says: " Truly God has heard; He has paid attention to the voice of my prayer." God hears our prayers and feels our pain. God can give You the strength needed to endure.
