To The Vargo Family
I had the pleasure and honor of working with Dave back in 1972/1973, when I was a cadet at SRPD. He was a good friend and was always there to help out. I also had fun coaching against his team in softball. Rest in peace and God speed. Tom Odetto Sr. MCSO (Retired)

I had the honor and pleasure of working with Dave many years on graveyard shifts with San Rafael PD. I also had the pleasure of assisting him with coaching the Terra Linda HS varsity girls softball team for three years.
His laughter, compassion, and knowledge in these and other areas were inspirational. I am a better person because of Dave.
My sincere sympathy to Dave's family, friends, and co-workers.
For those of us who worked with him at SRPD we know that we'll see him again at "Round Up!"

David sang many years with the Mayflower Chorus and became a good friend. I'll miss his beautiful tenor voice, his big grin, and his love of life.

Dave was a very kind person. He was a very good police officer. He taught me many things while working at San Rafael Police Department that later helped me when investigating crimes. Dave enjoyed his Little League and other softball program and was a great coach. Dave will be missed.
