Edward Arnoldi Obituary

Edward Vincent Arnoldi

June 30, 1949 - February 5, 2018

Ed Arnoldi passed into God's hand early Monday morning after a brief illness. His passing leaves his family shocked and saddened as they lose a decent and caring family man. Ed is predeceased by parents Anthony John and Celeste Arnoldi of San Francisco where he lived in his early years and later resided in San Mateo. Ed was a graduate of Galileo High School class of '67 and was an avid sports fan who enjoyed Raiders, Giants and Warriors games. But above all Ed was a shining example of a dedicated and loving family man who lived for his daughter's accomplishments and especially for his newest grandson, Samuel. Ed leaves behind his loving wife Sue, daughters Nicola & Andrea, son in law Robert, grandson Samuel, brother John and predeceased brother Vincent. A celebration of his life and viewing vigil to take place at 5:00pm – 8:30pm Friday, 2/9 at Sneider & Sullivan & O'Connell's Funeral Home, 977 So. El Camino Rl., San Mateo. Funeral mass to take place Saturday, 2/10 at 12:30pm at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1515 Dolan Ave., San Mateo. Followed by burial at Italian Cemetery, Colma. Ed, you will continue to live in our hearts forever.

We were so sorry to hear about Ed's passing. I'll miss his New York accent and his thoughtfulness. I remember that we were talking to you both the week before and were making plans for a gathering. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

We were so far apart, but yet we kept in communication all these years. Your deep voice will be sorely missed, your laughter and the memories. It's hard to realize that you are gone. Love to you always Eddie. Liane

It is hard to accept you have departed us. Too soon! Ed, I will always remember the great party events from the 80's and on, many of which the Arnoldi's had hosted, your bachelor party at my house, the chat sessions with cigars in hand on your patio, our talking encyclopedia of sports during major broadcasts, and your thoughtfulness of sharing Giant's tickets with me. I could go on and on.....
I'll miss you, old friend.

You will be truly be missed my friend. Many great memories and fun to work with the last 17 years.
It is hard to walk by your empty work station without thinking of the times I stopped to chat about the latest movie or sporting event.

Dear Eddie, I truly love you. You are kind, compassionate, understanding and a great listener. Game days will never be the same without you. I think the angels needed your strength up there but we miss you so much down here. I can't wait to see you in heaven.
