Jamie Comer Obituary

Jamie Comer
08/07/1969 - 04/11/2025
Jamie Comer, 55 passed away peacefully after an extraordinary eight-year battle with stage four colon cancer that metastasized to her liver. Defying a terminal diagnosis that gave her only months to live, Jamie secured groundbreaking treatment at New York's Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. With more than 200 rounds of chemotherapy, seven surgeries, and 25 rounds of radiation, she demonstrated an unwavering will to live - a testament to her fierce spirit and determination.
Jamie's life radiated resilience and a commitment to making the lives around her better. Her central advocacy was for early colon cancer detection which she believed could have saved her life.
Amidst her illness, Jamie found one of life's greatest blessings: she met and married the love of her life, Mark English. Their bond was extraordinary - a shining example of unconditional love and joy. Jamie often called Mark "the most handsome and perfect man," and together they created a life filled with laughter, connection, and strength that carried them through every challenge.
Above all, Jamie's proudest role was as mother to her beloved daughter, Olivia Grace Argosino Comer. Every milestone Olivia reached was a triumph, and Jamie's devotion to being present in her daughter's life was awe-inspiring. She celebrated Olivia's growth with boundless love and offered wisdom, comfort, and a constant, nurturing presence.
Jamie's adventurous spirit and love of learning took root early at the Athenian School, where her independence flourished. She later attended NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, cultivating her talents in acting and storytelling. Jamie thrived in New York and Los Angeles, drawn to the pulse of the creative world. She ultimately found her calling in real estate, where her innate warmth and insight made her a top agent. For Jamie, real estate wasn't just a career - it was a way to build community and help others find places to call home.
What truly set Jamie apart was her ability to make others feel loved and seen. A gifted hostess, she transformed ordinary moments into cherished memories, whether through cozy dinners in San Francisco or relaxed afternoons in Napa. Her love for gardening mirrored her life's philosophy - nurturing growth with patience, care, and intuition.
Jamie was an exceptional cook, known for documenting her signature dishes like her beloved "Marry Me Chicken," each meal a gesture of love and connection. She also found peace and inspiration in the symphony, drawn to its emotional depth and power - qualities she embodied so gracefully herself.
Jamie is survived by her devoted husband, Mark, his daughter, Georgia and his family; her treasured daughter, Olivia; her loving mother, Jean Comer; and her four beloved sisters, Lee, Jeannie, Corinne, and Krista Comer. She also leaves behind cherished nieces, nephews, and a wide, devoted circle of friends whose lives were forever enriched by her presence - from childhood to motherhood, and through every chapter of her remarkable life.
Jamie wished to be remembered as a changemaker - someone who gave generously of her heart, spirit, and time. Her legacy lives on in every life she touched and in the beauty she brought to the world, whether through a warm embrace, a shared meal, or a life lived with intention.
A celebration of her life will be held in San Francisco on May 3; details are available at https://everloved.com/life-of/jamie-comer-san-francisco-ca/. Donations to support her daughter can be made at https://www.gofundme.com/f/donate-for-olivias-education-in-honor-of-jamie-comer.

I saw her video on Youtube, where she shared her journey about stage 4 cancer. We lost 2 friends to cancer, one to brain cancer and the other to colon cancer. We are so sorry your loss...

To Ms. Comer's family,

I did not know her, but am inspired by her courage in battling an insidious disease. I was stage 3c colon cancer and know how grueling the battle can get.

May Ms. Jamie Comer's spirit endure for all who loved her. My sympathies are with you.

Very sad to hear the news of Jamie´s passing. She was always so lovely to me and our daughter Felicity. Always so upbeat, supportive, and secure in who she was as a woman. Sending love to Olivia and her family
