Jeffrey Bleuss Tiret

Jeffrey Bleuss Tiret Passed away peacefully February 8, 2008 at the age of 63, with his family by his side. Jeff fought a courageous year-long battle with acute leukemia. Loving husband of 39 years to Gloria; devoted father of Kimberly and Eric (Caely). Son of Horace and the late Elsie Tiret; brother of Sharon (Jim), Steve (Terri), Mike (Connie) and the late Daniel; uncle to Jason (Tiffany) and Justin (Tracey), Sean and Ryan, and Michael, Larry, Robert and Scott. Jeff was second-generation San Francisco and fourth-generation Californian. Attended Commodore Sloat, Aptos and Lincoln High School. He received his accounting degree from San Francisco State and later attended Golden Gate University to acquire his master's in taxation. He started working for his father's accounting practice in the early '60s. The firm later became Tiret & Company, CPAs, of which Jeff was a managing partner, along with his brothers, Steve and Mike, and longtime friend, Bob Beriault. Jeff was a member of the Olympic Club, St. Brendan Church, California Society of Pioneers, and was lovingly devoted to his wife and children. Jeff was a quiet guy who had many passions. He loved camping, fishing, water-skiing, tennis, dancing, and most of all, his family. His happiest moments were spent with his wife, children, siblings and many nephews. The annual camping treks to Trinity Lake with the family in the summers were a highlight in his life. And when time allowed, he could be seen on the tennis courts of the Olympic Club trying to perfect his game, or dancing with his wife on the Olympic Club dance floor to the sounds of any and all music. He so much appreciated the love and support he received throughout this past year, and loved you all in return. He will be missed more than words can express. We thank all those at the UCSF Hospital (11 Long) and UCSF Medical Center for their love, care, and compassion, and for providing us with a family that has come to mean so much. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Memorial Service for Jeff at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 16, at St. Brendan Catholic Church, 29 Rockaway Ave, SF. In Jeff's memory, contributions can be made to UCSF Hematology/Oncology Department, with checks made payable to "UC Regents," and mailed to 505 Parnassus Avenue, L-171, Box 0210, SF, CA 94143-0210, Attn: Florlina Agudelo, RN; or to St. Brendan School, 940 Laguna Honda Blvd, SF, CA 94127. Also, a special Memorial Fund has been established by the Olympic Club Foundation in Jeff's name.
