Dr Fletcher was a great teacher and helped so many of us during our residencies, for many years. He and his partner Dr Morris Noble, were instrumental in helping me build my practice when I opened my office, and provided excellent consultation care to many patients I referred to him for GI care over the years. He was a wonderful man, and a superb doctor.

I was briefly a patient of Dr Fletcher and it was because of his compassionate care and expert medical knowledge that my pancreatic tumor was discovered. I went on to have successful surgery and treatment- that was over ten years ago and I´m still going strong. I always remember Dr Fletcher and am eternally grateful for him.

I was very fortunate to have Dr. Fletcher as one of my best mentors when I started my residency in 1983.
His breadth of knowledge and kindness has helped me throughout my career. Thank you Dr. Fletcher and may you rest in peace.

I first met John at Children's Hospital in the early 1980´s in the department of medicine. For many years he was one of the leading teachers and practitioners of medicine in San Francisco. He will be missed.

I met Dr Fletcher when he was an Attending at SFGH. His friendliness, sincerity, and expertise are memorable all these years later.
May the angels lead him into Paradise.
