Several of us had the pleasure of meeting John for lunch a few months ago. It was like a regular get-together, talking about everything and everyone. He looked good and was upbeat, although candid about having made arrangements for his final services. It seemed so typical of the John H. that I knew from college days at St. Mary's, when he had his dance band. It's a life lesson for all of us.
May John rest in peace.

Anyone who met him or dealt with him could easily say he had the qualities of a good friend. My family knew his family for a few generations and when music was needed, we got music and all the trimmings. God Bless

I knew John as a colleague for about ten years in the Purchasing Dept. of the City of San Francisco. He was always the professional. It was sad when he retired, and much sadder now. He was a good man.

Good bye old friend. I am fortunate to have had John as as dear and special friend. He will be missed by both Joan and I. John, we know that you were in heaven half an hour before the devil knew that you were dead and I'm sure you enjoyed your trip through Ireland on your way to Heaven.

Seems like yesterday that John and I double dated to some St. Joe's dances. His love for music and dry humor always made the occasion interesting. I hadn't been in touch with John for years but thank God I did catch up with him last year before our 50th class reunion. He'll always be remembered always be missed.

John was my classmate at St. Joseph's High School In Alameda. I haven't seen him since graduation in 1958 but I remember him well. I missed him at our 50th reunion last summer and was saddened to hear that he was ill. Rest with God, old friend. Erin go bragh.
