Dear Julieta and the entire Apilado family,
Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of Comrade Jose.
Jose was one of our 400+ Korean War and 600 Vietnam War honorees in 2013 & 2014 in Vallejo and he was presented with Certificates of Appreciation from U.S. Secretary of Defense, Representative Mike Thompson, state Senator Lois Wolk, Assemblymembers Susan Bonilla and Jim Frazier, Solano County Supervisors Erin Hannigan and Linda Seifert, Vallejo Mayor Osby Davis, and The American Legion Manuel L. Quezon Post 603.
We pray that your grief will be brief, let us always remember Jose's glorious life, his service, valor, and sacrifice for our armed forces, and may God bless you and your family always.
Very Respectfully,
Nestor Aliga and Rozzana Verder-Aliga

My Uncle Joe, my Godfather, was a very special man. I will always remember his warm smile and loving laugh and big hugs. He gave me my first car which I will never forget. He treated everyone so kindly. I would be very blessed if I turn out half the man he was. God bless you Uncle Joe. I will miss you greatly.
