1929 - 2015
LaVerne Caesar was born in San Francisco on October 3, 1929 and has been a resident of Marin County since 1961. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she is predeceased by her husband of 61 years, George R. Caesar, M.D., and survived by children Gregory (and Maria), Douglas (and Lorie), Matthew, grandson Luke, sister-in-law Claudia Nettle, cousins, and friends. A graduate of San Francisco's Balboa High School (1947) and U.C. Berkeley (1951), she was an educator of children with learning disabilities. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Marin Art and Garden Center, Sunday, June 14, from 1pm - 3pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in her name to Marin Charitable 336 Bon Air Center, Suite 465, Greenbrae CA 94904.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
