Lilli Oldfield Obituary

Lilli Ann Oldfield June 8, 1960 - January 18, 2008 Beloved singer, designer, and creative spirit passed away Jan. 18, 2008 after a brave battle with cancer. Surrounded by friends, family, music and love. Born in Seattle she moved to San Francisco in 1982 to attend the Fashion Institute, then to Los Angeles in 2001 before moving back to Mill Valley in 2007 to undergo cancer treatment and spend her final days under the care of her loving sister, Suzie Marciano. She was a member of the Bay Area à cappella groups, the Queen Bees, PMS, and the critically acclaimed Screaming Divas. In addition to her music, Lilli enjoyed a career of custom-designing clothing and costumes. Her friends and family knew Lilli as a gourmet cook, an enormously generous person and an incredibly intelligent and beautiful woman. She enjoyed camping and hiking, was a voracious reader, and loved to sketch, draw and paint. She is the granddaughter of the famous Western painter Fred Oldfield. She will be fondly remembered and sorely missed. We love you Lilli. Celebration of Lilli's life will be held March 1, 2008 Noon-5PM, 142 Throckmorton Theatre in downtown Mill Valley.
