Mari Snyder Obituary
August 17, 1953 - August 24, 2016
Mari died in her sleep at her Santa Rosa home. She lived a full life, determined to be happy, no matter the obstacles.The daughter of Tom and Maren Blomberg, Mari was born in Fairbanks, Alaska. Mari grew up in a military family and graduated from University of Nevada Las Vegas. She earned a law degree at the University of Minnesota and had a distinguished career as an attorney at PG&E in San Francisco.
Mari met her husband Richard Snyder on a blind date at the age of 16. The couple was happily married for over 40 years and had two children, Patrick and Christa. In 2013, Mari's husband was diagnosed with cancer. Mari showed her strength by caring for Rich until his death in 2015.
When Rich died, Mari refused to let sadness consume her. She travelled to Egypt, Europe, Hawaii and Mexico. She spent her days dancing and having adventures with family and friends.
Mari leaves behind her children, her brother Steve Blomberg, and countless family and friends that enjoyed her smile, her wit, and her generosity. She leaves her beloved dog, Kona, to Christa.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Sonoma Humane Society. There will be a celebration of her life on Sunday, September 11, 2016, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the family home.

Mari became a friend when we lived in Fiuntaingrove. Just in the past year we became close friends sharing life's love and secrets that women share. We laughed and played just recently at Rivers End in Jenner. We joked about being two teenage blondes and living life to the fullest. I miss you already Mari and in your memory I will life to the fullest every day❤

I met Mari quite recently at a,weekly music event in Healdsburg...warm, sweet, talked about her kids with a smile - she was a bright light gone too soon....

I worked with Mari a long time at PG&E on various projects and really loved her sense of humor. We worked together on the hiring committee in the 1980s and I just loved working with her. She was always a bright light.
