Mark Guardado Obituary

Mark Anthony "Papa" Guardado 46 year old, native son of San Francisco, CA, was taken from those he loved on September 2, 2008. Loving father of Mark Jr., Dominic, Rebecca, Maliyah, and Leonor. Beloved eldest son of Agustin and Margarita. Dear brother of Jose and Tania. He will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. He was a friend to many people from all walks of life, and had a kind and generous heart. Mark lived life to the fullest and traveled extensively all over the world where he met and touched many, many people. One of his biggest passions was motorcycles. This passion became his life's pursuit. He was a loyal brother, member, and president of the San Francisco Chapter of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club. Those who knew "Papa" will always remember his humor and love for life. He felt that if you do what makes you happy, whatever that may be it can't be that bad. He is no longer with us on this Earth but will live on forever in our hearts. Friends may visit Sunday, 3pm to 9pm, with a Prayer Service 7pm, followed by a Celebration of his Life Service Monday 10am all at DUGGAN'S SERRA MORTUARY, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City. Committal, Cypress Lawn Cemetery, Colma.

I've known Mark "PaPa" Guardado sience i was in grammer school in San Francisco, he has always been like a brother to me and even more special to my older brother. He has helped me out in the past and we lost touch but i always felt him close to me being him and my brother were jsut like bors themselves. I've always known and always will know that "PaPa" is looking after me even if he does not walk the earth anymore, he is and always will remain a very dear and special brother in my life. Rest in Peace PaPa" till we see one another again your little sister B.T.

My Dear “Sweet Papa”,

It breaks my heart to know that you’re gone!

We met in 1979 and were in each other’s company maybe two or three days a week until 1988. I was in your wedding, when you married your childhood sweetheart Laurie, at the baptism of Marky and when my Dad passed, in 1988, you generously accepted the job of being one of his pall-bearers. My mom, Roseanne found your first “love nest”(Somerset Cottage), for you and Laurie, while walking home from church, one day. Uncle Rich still has your “Sweet Papa” Jamesgang jersey, # 56 wasn’t it? We had so many good times together, the road trips, the parties and concerts. Sure, we made some mistakes, along the way, but hey we were only having fun and besides it wasn’t like everyone else wasn’t making them too! In the late ‘80s we parted ways, but unexpectedly ran into each other every now and then, around the “City”.

What I remember most is that you always carried a child like innocence about you and your grin could rival that of the The Cheshire Cat’s. What I regret the most, is that we didn’t keep in closer contact, these many years later.

You will always live in my memory! When I think of you, it brings, a smile to my lips and a warmth in my heart, knowing that I have been blessed with your presence in my life.

Your Friend,

Mair

For Papa; There are no words strong enough in the english language to describe the man you were. I am proud that you considered me a friend. Of all the people I've know in my 50 years you were one of the finest men I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. My thoughts are with your Red and White family and the Guardado family, may they remain strong. I will never forget you. . .
