Mark was an amazing inspiration, and he left an unforgettable impression on me and our family. Such courage and grace, no wonder God took him back early. We will always miss him, always feel his presence, and always remember his example of how we should handle adversity. He is not gone, and he will never be forgotten. Our lives in the broad perspective are but a blink of an eye, then we'll see each other again. God bless you Mark, and save a seat for me!

My husband, David, and I met Mark while undergoing chemotherapy treatment at St. Mary's Hospital. My husband was also diagnosed with the same type of cancer. Mark had been undergoing treatment prior to my husband and was such an inspiration to us. He always seemed to remain very positive and was extremely calming to my husband who also passed away on August 17th. We are so thankful for meeting Mark and getting to know him. He is an inspiration to all of us in his dignified and courageous battle against this dreadful disease. May his family, friends and all who were touched by such a wonderful person be comforted during this very difficult time.

The strength of Mark's character and spirit were evident as a student in St.Peter's Grammar School. Apparently from the remarks offered on this site he shared his gifts with all those he met along the way and that is how he will be remembered. God bless

I'm amazed at Mark's strength and positive attitude during his life. He made lemonade out of lemons and was always so positive even during the darkest hours. That's the kind of person you want in your life as a co-worker, a friend, a father, a son, or a husband. And that's why the collective memory of Mark Rizzo will be loving, stirring, and beautiful for his entire family and all those who knew him.

I worked with Mark at Conifer. Things could get disorganized and frantic during my time there, but Mark always remained calm and reassuring which was no easy feat. He was smart and assured yet unpretentious and always approachable. When he spoke of his family you could feel the love and devotion he had for them. I always respected that, and I will miss him.
