Myrna was my best friend all through junior high and high school. I would stop at her house and pick her up every day on the way to school. We were both readers and I adored her. I married early at the end of my first year in college and our friendship came apart after that. But I always treasure her memory and that young friendship we shared.

I am grateful for Myrna every day, because her amazing daughter, Ellen is my cherished friend and Kidpower colleague. Myrna's passion and talent for helping people - especially vulnerable children - has made and continues to make a huge difference in every life she touched. There are charming pictures of Myrna with Ellen on Myrna's Memorial Page on our website: https://www.kidpower.org/about-us/memorials/myrna/

Myrna was my best friend all through junior and senior high in Duluth. I still think of our study sessions, giggling sessions etc. at her house or mine. We were both active readers and good students. I admired her tiny trim figure and cute outfits. Our friendship ended when we went to college and I moved into the sorority house. I still think of her with so much fondness.

Myrna was my best friend all through grade school and high school. We spent so much time together all those years. She lived just a few blocks away and I would stop for her on the way to school every day. She was so tiny and lovely. We had so many of the same interests always. A charming and bright person. We were originally dorm roommates as U of Minnesota freshman but I moved out to join a sorority and our friendship never recovered. Lost much too soon though. So sorry again.

Hardly seems possible that its been a year since Myrna left, and yet the glow from her luminous presence continues to illuminate the lives of those of us fortunate enough to have been touched by her presence.

My husband, Miguel, and I first met Myrna a little over seven and a half years ago when we became the caretakers at the Frankel Ranch in Napa. Myrna always made sure that our needs here were met. She showered us with gifts on just about every holiday. She was a great conversationalist and made our chance meetings at the barn fun with her wry sense of humor. The Ranch was a place for her to relax and to enjoy family and she relished both. After learning about other parts of her life it's clear that Myrna was a powerhouse of meaningful activity, enough for many life times! Both Miguel and I feel honored to have been both employee and friend to this wonderful woman.

There are no words for the loss, and yet there are so many. So many words making up all the moments, stories, and lessons that she gave myself and all those she met. Her invaluable influence never steered me wrong. There were so many ways she touched and impacted the world. She inspired, loved, and genuinely cared for so many people, one building couldn't hold them all. But she held all of them in her heart.
I will miss you dearly.

Dear Frankels,
Myrna, epitomized an honored life of kindness and warmth. For us, it began with "playdates" for our beagles. Myrna became my go-to friend for recommendations for ob/gyn's, to pediatricians to
"nannies" to schools. She was an guiding light for many young mothers. We celebrated friendship for more than 50 years at our annual Chinese New Years Dinners, and now we mourn the loss of a wonderful person. With sympathy to you all and may you soon find room in your hearts to share her wisdom and remember how much she loved family. George and Sally Williams

Myrna was such a warm an giving person. Her hugs were genuine, her expression always sincere and interested. Visiting her home - I always felt as relaxed and comfortable as anyone could possibly feel. So lucky to have been in her life.
