August 10, 1921- May 30, 2013. Nancy Robbin died early Thursday morning near Portland, Oregon. Nancy grew up in Duluth, Minnesota, and attended St. Mary's Boarding School in Wisconsin. She spent her college years at UCLA, where she studied philosophy. There, during WWII, she met Morton Robbin, who became her husband, then ex-husband, and, eventually, her life-long friend. Nancy had a passion for friendship, family, literature, and a spirited life. She lived in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Mexico, Mendocino, and the East Bay. Nancy wrote poems as a child, and continued on to the end of her life writing poetry, stories and novels. Nancy is survived by sons, Lory and Jon; daughter-in-law, Lynn; and grandchildren, Jason, Amber, Sara, and Patrick. Nancy was a generous soul, deeply connected to her friends and family, and always held her ground.
